Fire River of the Canopy Runners

In the Deep Canopy, the paths shift as the trees grow, and the maps must be redrawn every season. Canopy runners are the ones who know the routes as they are now.

Runners learn the first rule before they learn to climb: follow the green.

Where the light beneath the bark runs strong, the boughs are sound. Where it fades, the wood is dying, and you go around.

The Keepers of the Record rely on runners for news of the forest. Runners, in turn, are expected to report what they see, and not to go looking for more.

The River of Fire runs through this land, presenting challenges in the wet season as the river grows and moves quickly. Unique is the red/gold Neon that glows along its edges, thus giving the river its name.
